Spent the last three days in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. We found a cheap room through a friends recommendation. So we were able to spend some time on a freelance project were sharing.
We had a nice rooftop view of the Taj Mahal. So we spend a heap of time there in the sun plugging away on the project. Nice place to work.
Agra was expectedly touristic, but enjoyable in its own right. We found this sweet nook for some delicious street eats. That would become our daily routine for the next few days.
Taj Mahal was glorious. What a presence this place has. The Semi precious stones inlayed in the white marble is such elegant design. But for me, It's just as impressive from a distance to digest the scale of the grand mausoleum.
Woke up this morning and made our way over to Agra Fort after packing up. My bartering skills are getting good after a month in India. It's a constant game of price haggling for most everything you do in the day to day being white here.
Took another train from Agra to Jaipur in Rajasthan. Ended up sitting directly beside an Ausie guy we met a week earlier in Delhi at our couch surfing host & friends Anke & Omer. Called a guest house on the train ride here, sorted. Walked from the train station a few blocks through possibly the most aggressive "auto" (rickshaw) drivers offering rides. We find our place for the night. The place has rad vibes on the rooftop garden covered in plants. I can taste and hear the busy streets below through the make shift walls. It feels like we're in a tent almost.
See you in the morning Jaipur.
